All right, I have been working toward the pursuit cape for approximately 2.5 years now and I always get told that they're so simple to OSRS gold get. Much simpler and quicker than most, or even all 99 abilities, based on the individual telling me. I got told that today, and I was very tired, so I decided to do a few calculations. Just adding up the solid skill requirements which you want, in regards to 11,492,440 expertise. That is just equal of below level 98 in any 1 skill. But wait a moment, there's a level 85 combat requirement as well. The ability requirements only state 40 assault, 65 shield, 69 strength, 55 prayer, 75 magic, 75 ranged, and 41 summoning. Add this up using all the default 10 hp, and it just comes out to level 66.9. To get 85 combat, you need to bump attack and hp to 60 and 61. That brings the entire minimum xp to 12,030,092.
But wait, there is more. To be reasonable, in case you've got 65 protection and 69 strength and 75 ranged, you'll probably have absolutely no less than 65 assault and 70-75 hp (depending on how you train). It's likely to receive it at this level, however, so we'll leave it and give ourselves a conservative estimate.
Recall a 99 in almost any ability is 13,034,431 xp. I contend that the training for a quest cape is as hard as most 99's. Quite somewhat tougher even, if you believe that most of that training is at the lower levels. Compare it to training to 99 range in f2p. It's much, much harder to get 13M xp with no benefits of things that open up at higher levels that manhood skillers so frequently take for granted. No, you need to really do the quests! Let's do a rough estimate a second. There are 159 quests, so they probably take an average of an hour each if using a manual (they do for me anyway). Even when you're a diehard RuneScape participant and play with 4 hours a day 7 days per week, it'll still take you 5 months and 5 days to cheap RuneScape gold finish them all. Now assume a mean of 10 minutes between each person to get prepared for the quest, that bumps it around 6 weeks and 5 days. Just doing the quests once you have all of the training done takes more than fletching or cooking! That actually makes it look shorter than it really is. If you are more like me, and play about 7 hours a week, it's going take 26 weeks and 4 times, or about 5.5 weeks.
